We take an active role in the betterment of the community by offering candle making classes aimed at promoting mental health awareness and healing.  
ABOUT THE OWNER:
Wendy Perlera is an inspiring individual who has dedicated her life to helping others, specifically those who have experienced the foster care system. As a former foster child herself, Wendy understands the challenges that come with this journey and has taken action to make a difference. She founded Wendy’s Kids, Inc., a nonprofit organization that supported foster youth until 2015. Wendy was recognized for her exceptional work by the United States Congress, the Southern California foster care system, and the Child Welfare League of America as National Social Worker of the Western Region. In addition, Wendy played a crucial role in establishing the California State University Northridge EOP Resilient Scholars program, which provides support to former foster youth pursuing higher education. Her contributions to the community were recognized in 2002 when she became the youngest recipient of the Raza Alumni Association award. Despite her accomplishments, Wendy remains humble and committed to her cause. She continues to serve as a mentor to former foster youth, providing them with guidance and support as they navigate life after the foster care system. Wendy's dedication and hard work serve as an inspiration to us all.
